Reading, MA, March 13, 2018 – Due to Tuesday’s nor’easter, the Taste of Metro North event scheduled for Wednesday has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 15, from 5:30-7:30 pm at Reading Memorial High School (RMHS)S)HS Field House, 62 Oakdale Road.
Superintendent of Schools John Doherty who is also a Reading Rotarian notified the Committee that due to the demands on his staff during snow clean-up, he is concerned that the staff would not be able to set up in time for the Wednesday date.
“Who would have thought in February, during those 70 degree days, that we would be talking about the third nor’easter in two weeks with an expected 10-18 inches of snow in March?” said Rotary President Brian Snell. “Unfor-tunately, this is the first time in seven years we have had to change the original date to a snow date.”
“We hope all of those who purchased tickets will come to the event on Thursday and welcome you to night of fun and delight,,” said Snell. “We expect hundreds of people who will not only enjoy the food, but also be treated to entertainment by vocal groups and band members from the RMHS.”
Participating restaurants are Biltmore & Main, Burton’s, Café Nero, Christopher’s, D’Amici’s, Dave & Buster’s, Fuddrucker’s, Harrow’s, Horseshoe Grille, Kelly’s Roast Beef, Laurie’s 9:09, Oye’s, Pamplemousse, Piantedosi Baking Company, RMHS Nutrition, Red Heat, Residence at Pearl, Roxy’s, Sabatino’s, Scoreboard, Starbuck’s and Subway.
